OUR TAKE
Farer is the British independent that made colour their whole thing when everyone else was doing matte black and navy. Launched out of London in 2015, Swiss assembled, and they've quietly become one of the most interesting microbrands around if you care about dials that actually look like something.
The Resolute is their field watch, and the dial is the whole show. White lacquer with 3D Lumicast numerals — ice blue Super-LumiNova capped in matte black — and a burnt orange seconds hand that gives it more personality than most three-handers at this money.
36mm case, 41.2mm lug-to-lug, 10.4mm thick. Wears small and flat, slides under a cuff without fuss. Proper for slimmer wrists or anyone who's clocked that 40mm+ isn't the only option. La Joux-Perret G101 inside — same stable as Arnold & Son — with a 68-hour power reserve, which is a real step up from the SW200 most microbrands reach for at this price.
Only knock is 50m water resistance. Don't swim in it. That's the end of the list.
Still under Farer's manufacturer warranty through January 2029.

THE MOVEMENT
The original movement developed a fault, so it went back to Farer and they replaced it. What's running the watch now is a brand-new La Joux-Perret G101, fitted by Farer themselves. On any mechanical watch the movement is the one part that's genuinely expensive to put right — and here that's already handled, by the people who build these. And here's the good bit: Farer's guarantee is specifically a movement guarantee — five years, still running through January 2029. So the one component that's been replaced is the exact thing that's covered. The most worrying part of buying pre-owned, and on this one it's the strongest part.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX
